How to increase your sales by smelling clean
When you are a sales person, you want to do your best to get as many sales in as you can. This is something that you need to think long and hard about so that you are making the right choices so that you can be as effective in the sales world as you can. There are a few things that you should do to make sure that you are doing all that you can to be as successful as you can.
Think about the way that you look. When you are a sales person, you need to look attractive to the person that is doing the buying. You want to catch their attention and get them to notice what you are offering to them when you are serious about doing the best that you can in the sales world, you need to make sure that first and foremost you look and smell great. You have to have this before you can even think about walking through the sales door.
You need to take pride in your appearance. Think about how you are dressing. Are you wearing nice clothes and making sure that your hair and make up if you are women looks good? If you are doing these things, you are putting yourself closer to getting someone to notice you and they may even be impressed with the way that you are presenting yourself. Think about the way that you smell now. I know that you are probably clean and showering as you are supposed to. However are you going farther than that? Are you making sure that you are not under or over doing it when it comes to smelling good?
Smelling clean is something that everyone wants to be. When you are a sales person, you will want to think about all that you can do to make sure that you are smelling as good as you can. Showering is defiantly a good thing, however you also have to make sure that you are adding your deodorant and making sure that you are putting on something that smells good to others too. You want to have your favorite perfume or cologne on hand and give yourself a squirt on the neck or arm. When you are sure that you have the best smelling product picked out and you know that it is something that others think smells good, you should be fine to go ahead and start your sales for the day.
However you know that there are those few people that we meet daily that wear way too much perfume or cologne. It almost gags you when they walk into the room. This is not something that is going to get you very far in the world of sales. You need to make sure that you are not overdoing it when it comes to using cologne or perfume. You need to know what the limits are and how much of it is good and when to lay off. If you notice that people's eyes are watering when you walk into a room, you are using way too much smelly stuff. You should wear something that is a little less over powering and softer.
Wearing too little can be a bad thing too. Sometimes if you are a serious power seller and you are working longer hours, your smell may wear off. This is especially true if it is a hot day and you are sweating a lot. You should carry a little bit of your favorite fragrance with you so that you can add a little here and there when you need to. It will not hurt anything and you will feel more comfortable if you smell good when you are trying to present your sales pitch.
